jon.bmp (185526 bytes)Jon Anderson, along with Chris Squire formed Yes in 1968. He has left the band twice, the first time after Tormato and the second after Big Generator. Although the only album that he has not played on is Drama, on which Trevor Horn provided the lead vocals.

He is not the band's leader, no-one is, but often he starts an idea off for the rest of the band to develop. The songs that he writes have spiritual and mystical lyrics. His voice is extremely distinctive and different from anyone else. Many people even believe that his voice really makes that 'Yes' sound and is the most important factor in the band.

He has also played with a lot of other people such as Vangelis and has made many solo albums.

Jon is now with Yes on tour and writing new material.
